Help setting up interrupr driven UART on 52223

Can someone please assist with setting up interrupt driven UART.

I see that reference is made to the CTS line being sensed for interrupt t oocurr or am I missing something here. I am not using CTS only RX,TX, GND lines.

Am try to get data out of a GPS so need to get the data out and stash it in a buffer to then parse it for the NMEA sentences.

The RTS + CTS are not needed and can be ignored.

the M52223 UARTs are compatible to the M5223X and code is identical.
