programming flash device, MPC 8548, CW8.7, IDE 5.9

We have a spansion flash device S29GL256P. Using CodeWarrior I'm trying to program that flash device. The closest device I found in the list of devices is S29GL256N. I tried selecting this device but it didn't work. It says "Initializing..........." and stays there forever.

* Is there a version of CodeWarrior that supports the S29GL256P flash device.

* Is it possible to use any device in the existing list of devices to be able to program the S29GL256P flash device.
