May you please give some details on how CW5.0 is supposed to have crashed your computer by deleting system files......?
In my department we have roughly 20 installs of CW5.0 from CW3.1 and have no trouble whatsoever (with the installation I need to stress).
Therefore please tell us which file was supposedely affected so the CodeWarrior team can react on this "SERIOUS" accusation/problem !
For your license problem. I see it is a special eddition license (Free). To be sure you have a correct one,
I advise you to go to codewarrior.com website and ask for a Special Edition License for CW3.1. You will be sure not to have a corrupted file.
The license text should be appended to the content already present in "license.dat" at the root of the installation of CodeWarrior. The text already present should not be removed, you just add the text at the end of the file.
