I need some source code compiled. My developer's licensce has expired.

The code was initially compiled using Metrowerks CodeWarrior IDE version 5.6.1.1506.

Hello

Well in earlier release of CodeWarrior the Special edition also had a limited version of the IDE, where you could not have more than 32 files included in a project and you could not have sub-projects in a project.

These limitation have been removed on CodeWarrior for MCU V6.0 and you should be able to have more than 32 files in a project with that release.

The license installed with V6.0 does not remove the 32-files limitation, but you can download the correct special edition license file from following URL:

Just copy that file in your V6.0 root installation directory.

I hope this helps.

Hello

If you application matches the limitation of the special edition software (No C++, < 32K of code, ...) you can download CodeWarrior for MCU V6.0 from following URL

The software installs automatically a special edition license.

Otherwise you will have to pay for the software to get a permanent license.

Refer to following document for a list of Special edition limitations:

Hi CrasyCat,

Thank you very much for your message.

This is what my colleague Ed has to say about the special edition you mention: "This special edition of Freescale is what I tried. The limitation sheet says that the "code" has to be less than 32K and I'm sure that the our code is probably not that large. However, I am getting an error message from the compiler that the special edition limits you to 32 "files" and we do have more than 32 files."

Since we don't expect to be using CodeWarrior for more than one, perhaps two, compiles, buying it seems like not a good option.

I am looking for someone who would be willing to help us out for a fee.
