With Multylink programmer connected to Freescale MCU KL16Z256M4, an error is reported back  in Hardware Connection>>Advanced Programming Options:  "Device name could not be determined".

Which name? Is just the name it's missing? Never had seen this error!

Setup settings and MCU are ok since it work correctly on different machines. Any clue for this "vague" error.

Thanks.

Hi David,

Do you use CW for MCU V10.6 ?

Else what is the tool version ?

CW for MCU v10.6.4 is the last version.

A patch V10.6.5 can be installed too.

The P&E interfaces Mulitlink are supported by this configuration.

Now it could be important to know exactly the name of interface and rev.

There are several Multilink interfaces.

To test it I recommend to create a sample project (project Wizard) for your hardware configuration.

With this example, you should be able to load the example on board without problem.

Have a great day,
Pascal
