I have a license for CodeWarrior 2.9. I also want to activate v2.7 because the development team that I am working with also uses v2.7 to develop their code.

Hello Braton,
according to the screenshot you sent it seems this is not a licensing issue.
This is probably a linker issue/defect.
Anyway I've posted a temporary CW for MPC55xx/56xx v2.x license.dat which should work with v2.7.
Please check again with the license attached. (the license will expire 10-nov-2013)
This might be related to a linker defect which was fixed in a newer release.
Is someone else from your team able to build the project using same CW version (v2.7)?
Stan
Could you please contact license team (license@freescale.com) to get the license for CW2.7? Please also attach your license file for CW2.9, which contains the info of your license type, and locked ID. Thanks!
I copied the license.dat to my CodeWarrior v2.7 directory but it did not work.
Hello Braton,
What do you observe on your side? can you send a screenshot of a licensing error you get?
Do you have both versions installed on the same PC? if not then make sure the license.dat you use may be locked to a particular machine so it may not work on any other machine.
Stan
This is what I get when I attempt to build my firmware using CodeWarrior v2.7

from the license policy that, only the latest CW version can be actived.
but mostly, Freescal license is backward compatiable. 2.9 license could also work for 2.7. please try it.
