I have a legacy product to support but cannot find the same compiler/IDE. This was for Coldfire V1 and had a free license. On this page I can only find V11 and V10.6 upgrade, bot a 10.6 version that can be installed from scratch.
Yes, that one leads to the latest version.
You can get e.g. a previous version this way:
1) go to CodeWarrior Development Suites|NXP
2) select Evaluation button (https://www.nxp.com/webapp/swlicensing/sso/downloadSoftware.sp?catid=CWX-MCU-PROED-EX_11 )
3) there you see the previou versions:
I hope this helps,
Erich
@BlackNight, I followed the link you provided, but it looks like 10.6 is not available there. I could only find 10.2, 10.7, and 11.1. Is there a place where 10.6 is still available?
I'm not aware of any other place. Interestingly it shows different products for me. It seems to me it is based on the download history too.
I'm think you have to contact your sales or support person or issue a ticket.
Erich
@ErichStyger could you please download CW10.6 and post it here? I need that exact same version too and I also can't see it on the links provided above.
Thank you very much!
Excuse me, Erich, I have problems with limitations using CodeWarrior. I use C code for my projects, and the KEA128 and KEAZN64 MCUs. According to Release notes: [...] After 30 days, the license works as a Special Edition license (free, permanent, but feature limited) which supports unlimited assembly code, up to 64KB of C code for S08/RS08, V1 ColdFire/ColdFire+, Kinetis L Series derivatives; up to 128KB of C code for V2-V4 ColdFire and Kinetis K Series derivatives; and up to 512KB of C code for Qorivva derivatives.
But when my projects measures more than 64KB, the CW say me: There is a size limitation problem, check your license.
How you can help me?
Hi Sebastien,
the KEA is a Cortex-M0+, right? So that would be matching a Kinetis L series?
The K series are Cortex-M4, for example K60 or K64.
I hope this helps,
Erich
Hi Erich, I already understand it. Thank you for your reply. Another question... I entered to my NXP session, in my List of Product Downloaded and saw a tab with the name: License Keys. And I saw a button called: Generate. With this button, I could generate a new Eval License for another 30 days, but when I try to debug or program my projects, errors that did not appear before without the new license appeared, for example, in lies of code where I wrote a mathematical division.
Do you know why these new errors appear?
To my understanding you cannot extend the 30 day eval with yet another 30 day eval.
Thanks, but that seems to be the time limited eval, not the Special edition.
It is the same (same binaries). The only difference is that it comes with a 30 day professional time bombed license file. After that (or if you remove that file) you have the special edition.
Erich
Removing the license file seems to have let it be special. However one salient feature, crypto accelerator in processor expert, will not build. I do not know if this is license related. See: CAU_LDD unsupported in upgrade from 10.6 to 10.6.4?
