ROM -out of allocation

Hi, I am using MC9RS08LA8 controller with code warrior 6.3. I have to add some functions in existing program and i have 300 bytes of ROM memory. When i add one 32 bit division operation it showing out of allocation space in ROM. why and how its happening? i  have added just one line division (ex: signed long Variable1; Variable1=Variable1/100u;)
