Is there a newer PE_Plugin.dll for CW 4.7 under Windows 10

I see in a post in another thread that there is a replacement for the CW 6.3 "PE_Plugin.dll".

The new dll is meant to prevent the exception when closing Codewarrior.

This concerns Codewarrior 6.3 when running under Windows 10.

Is there a similar replacement dll for Codewarrior V4.7?

NXP doesn't produce any patch that can support CW4.7 on win10.

to work with win10, I recommend you use CW5.2 instead.

NO, CW4.7 license can't work with CW5.2.

I purchased a perpetual license, for CW 4.7.

After that, Windows 10 comes along, and CW 4.7 does not work as expected.

You decide to NOT fix whatever is wrong, and release a version that does work, with W10.

After that you fix the issue, and release it as V5.2.

And my ”perpetual license” does NOT work with V5.2.

I think that is a dishonest way to run a business.

What is your opinion, NXP?

Hi Anders Johansson,

for the users, who already purchased CW4.7 license over one year, need to update license, NXP provice CW renew, it's not free but much cheaper than buy a new license. This is NXP officially solution.

Regarding to your original request of PE_Plugin.dll file, the latest CW5.2 install package includes new version PE_Plugin.dll file, but I never tested it with CW4.7. thus I can't guarantee it works with 4.7.

Officially we don't suggest user changing any CW install file system. If so, we can't support if problem occurs.
