Codewarrior for ARM v8 and LS1012A

I like to connect the LS1012A FRDM board to Codewarrior for ARM v8 which is listed to be able to handle that controller. But the only chip I can select for a new project is the LS2045A. Do I need a BSP or something else for this ?

Hello Wayne Schlegel,

Please download and install CodeWarrior for ARMv8 from http://www.nxp.com/products/microcontrollers-and-processors/arm-processors/qoriq-layerscape-arm-proc... , then use the on line updater to upgrade CodeWarrior to the latest version. After installation, please open CodeWarrior IDE from Help->Install New Software->Available Software Sites, please only check "ARMv8 Eclipse Update Site" and click OK. Then click the drop down list on the right of  "Work with:", and select "ARMv8 Eclipse Update Site - http://freescale.com/lgfiles/updates/Eclipse/11.2.0/com.freescale.armv8_win", select "CodeWarrior Update" to follow the installation wizards to upgrade CodeWarrior step by step.

Please refer to the section "3.2 Working with bareboard application" in C:\Freescale\CW4NET_v2016.01\CW_ARMv8\ARMv8\Help\Getting_Started_for_CW_ARMv8.pdf after install CodeWarrior.
