As far as I can see, MPC8640 is not listed in CodeWarrior interface, but you can use "MPC8641D" as this device is very close (based on the same silicon and covered by the same silicon errata document).
MPC8641D is supported by CodeWarrior for Power Architecture v8.8 (Classic IDE)
