codewarrior version used:- CW Power Architecture,Professional Edition,v 8.8 , Build 80229 with XP

Problem:- I am not getting option mpc8308 target processor menu or config file menu instead 8313 is present.

Also  when I am running from codewrrior its showing config file error ,jtag not connected so I am suspecting I am not selecting proper target processor.

Please tell me whether selecting 8313 is ok instead of 8303(which is not present in the list).

Hello people.

I updated with the patches and now have PowerPC 8308 as a processor type.

But I do not find the MPC8308-RDB as a board option.

I only see 8308 mlTX (rev1), e300_ISS, and Generic.

Is the RDB board option available?  Any hints on what to do?

Thanks in advance.

You're right, the 8.8.3 CodeWarrior for Power Architecture does not yet support the MPC8308-RDB, but there is a way you can still work with this board.  Start by creating a CW project for the MPC8308-mITX.  Then change the Target Initialization file in the "EPPC Debugger Settings" panel to '8308erdb_init.cfg' which is included with the BSP for the MPC8308E-RDB (also attached here.)  The BSP can be found at www.freescale.com/powerbsp.   I hope this helps.

Regards,

Ron
