FreeSacale CodeWarrior 10.6 compability with DSP56F807.

Dear All,

I have a Motorola board (DSP56F807EVMUM) with Motorola DSP56F807.

I have also the Freescale CodeWarrior  10.6 MC56Fxxxxxx processor family.

Which processor of MC56Fxxxxxx family is code compatible with DSP56F807?

Can I use this CodeWarrior with this board (Parallel Port interface)?

Also could you provide the latest CodeWarrior compatible with this board?

I checked Release Notes for CodeWarrior v10.6. It only supports the DSP56800EX core which used in DSC56F8xxxx family. However, the DSP56F807 uses the DSP56800 core. Therefore, CodeWarrior v10.6 cannot be used on this board. 

I recommend that you use CodeWarrior (Classic IDE) v8.3. Download page: CodeWarrior Development Tools for 56800/E DSC | NXP Semiconductors

I'm quite sure that it can be used on the DSP56F807.

The CodeWarrior v8.3 was released a long time ago. It is more recommended to be used on Windows 7. If you want to use it on Windows 10/11, you can refer to the following link: Windows 7/10: Using USB TAP on CodeWarrior for DSC - NXP Community
