Dear Sirs,
Is it possible to get any information from you(datasheet, application note) about IC MQ8CE? It is IC with Freescale logo and QFN16 package. I would appreciate any help from you. Is it programmable microprocessor? I want to repair very important for me equipment and have no idea if after I buy the new one it will work (without application and program I have no chance so no need to buy). This IC is put between ST Bluetooth module and main microprocessor.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Your faithfully,
Wojciech Franczuk

Hello Wojciech,
I am glad to help.
The device you are speaking is the MC9S08QG8 MCU.
The S08QG Family of microcontrollers provide a wide variety of serial interfaces and peripherals, normally found in higher-end devices, all in a small package. Featuring low-power S08 8-bit architecture, S08QG devices are a perfect fit for battery-powered devices.
You may find useful information as the datasheet and application notes (Documentation tab) at the following link:
8-bit Small Package QG MCUs|NXP
I hope this information will be useful for you.
If I misunderstood your question, feel free to let me know. I will be glad to help.
Have a great day.
David Diaz.
PS: If my answer helps to solve your question, please mark it as "Correct". Thank you.
Hello David,
Thank you very much for your answer. It is exactly what I was asking
for. Now I know haw to check the circuit and read the memory.
Thank you again,
Regards,
Wojciech Franczuk
