Dear Sir:

I study S12ZVC and has some question :
1. What are the ways to burn program? Is it possible to provide hardware or technical documentation for reference?
2. Does OSBDM also burn or buy writer? Can provide OSBDM code and documentation for burn program demand

Please assist for my question, TKS !

Hello

The MCU has BDC/BDG module and support USB multilink. You can use OSBDM to burn/debug as well.

The NXP S12Z boards use OSBDM interface MC9S08JM60: Datasheet, AN3561 USB Bootloader for the MC9S08JM60, schematic. Refer to PEmicro for source code and more information.

You can flash the MCU using CodeWarrior, the Special Edition of which is free-download, fully functional tool with only code size restrictions on the build chain. So, once you have built the code, you can use it to flash the MCU regardless of the code size.

Hi,

I plan to use S12ZVCA and flash it by DBC/DBG module.

What can  I  buy the DBC/DBG programmer ?

Is the S12ZVC MCU build-in any bootloader ?

May I use AN4258, Serial Bootloader for S12(X) Microcontrollers Based on 180 nm Techno ... in S12ZVCA ?

Regards,

Aaron

Hi

The product website recommends Software and tools.

We use PEmicro. The AN4258 bootloader is only for S12(X).

There is AN4723 for S12Z MagniV Bootloader: AN4723_SW.zip

Regards

Daniel

I buy the PEmicro Multilink Universal. It work well with 6-Pin BDM of DEVKIT-S12ZVC. Thank you.
