Is it possible to capture MIPI-DSI output by the MIPI-CSI2 input?

Hello.

We have a device that outputs image to MIPI-DSI display. Is it possible (theoretically) to capture information from those device's MIPI-DSI by the MIPI-CSI2 input on the i.MX6Q?

it is possible to connect them since both use a similar phy, but I am afraid

no data can be received, as controllers use different specific protocols, such as

Camera (CSI) and Display (DSI). Some review is given at
