iMX RT1170-SDIO interface configuration for WiFi module.

We want to configure iMX RT1170 controller SDIO interface for WiFi module. Can you tell us how to proceed with it. Do you have any example code, it will be helpful if you share it. Also we are doing it on MQX V5 RTOS environment.

As I have seen the NXP based WiFi modules are there which support for iMXRT boards. We are using iMXRT1170 EVK with LWB5+ series wireless module for WiFi application over SDIO interface.

1. Will iMXRT1170 supports WiFi modules other than NXP? if yes, what changes we have to do in the code?

2. What are the NXP based WiFi-modules supported by iMXRT1170?

1. In theory it can support different WiFi modules as long they are connected with SDIO/UART and RT1170 features comply with the module requirements.
The drivers, examples we provide were designed to be used with our NXP-based modules and we cannot guarantee that modules from any other vendor would behave similarly with our software. Please note that a porting of this kind is difficult to make and it is up to the customer.
My recommendation is to use our supported WiFi modules.

As of now the current SDK does not have support for the WPA Enterprise , still, will you be looking for a

an embedded supplicant, or a host-based supplicant?
