Using iMXRT1170 GPU

Hello, I see that iMXRT1170 has a 2D GPU which is used for rendering in LVGL. Can this GPU be used to run any user defined functions? For ex To run a CPU intensive application like a format conversion in GPU. Is there an option to do that or this GPU is purely for video rendering?

Please be noted that GPU on i.MX RT1170 is only 2D for vector graphics rendering. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you.
