RT116x/7x Inline Encryption Engine performance with SDRAM

Hello,

I have read in the Security Reference Manual for the i.MXRT1170 how the IEE peripheral can be used to decrypt data from SDRAM without software intervention. Is it possible to use the IEE to decrypt code that is executing from SDRAM? If so, is there any latency added by using the IEE?

Hope you are well.

IEE can be used when you have an encrypted XIP(execute in place) image booting from FlexSPI.
In SDRAM the IEE module can be used to encrypt/decrypt data.
