which touch screen on imx53?

Hello,

      I am a newcomer.And I wonder doing something om Imx53 with touch screen . But for me it's unfamiliar using touch screen,even I don't konw which touch screen should I choose,and is there a mature and matched driver that I can read.

Hello, Xiansong,

      We have 2 types of Evaluation board,

1 . MX53_Tablet_SMD board.

Called MX53_SMD

2 . MX53QSB boards

(1)MX535+MC34708

Called MX53QSB-START-R

(2)MX535+DA9053

called MX53QSB.

The reference design of above boards can be downloaded from freesclae website. so please downloaded them, then learn their schematics.

On mx53_smd board, capacitor touch screen is used. CPU communicates with touch module by I2C bus.

On MX53QSB-START-R, you can find PMIC's name is MC34708, A 4-wire resistor touch interface  is supportd by MC34708.

So , at first , please research schemaitc of referenc design, you will konw what you want.
