videotestsrc with yocto

I've been able to build/deploy yocto for the i.mx6 nitrogren6x board. The videotestsrc gstreamer plugin isn't built/installed.

How do I configure the gstreamer base package in yocto to include this plugin?

I believe that GST element is on fsl-image-gui[-sdk]. Which image did you use?

You have to configure the base plugin package. Videotestsrc is not includedby default. How do I configure the package? For example in buildroot I would run 'make menuconfig'

Base elements should be include so you may have found a bug. Please send this question to the meta-freescale mailing list.

This is now posted over at meta-freescale. But, figured I’d share a solution here.

You can use “hob” to configure the packages. Once you have hob running you can edit packages. I did so and simply checked videotestsrc (which was unclicked) under gst-plugins-base.
