u-boot in iMX6 96kB ROM?

Hi, has anyone managed to strip down u-boot to fit in the 96kB onboard ROM on the iMX6?

I want to make a pre-bootloader which will boot a full u-boot from either SD card or eMMC.

Hi Yuri,

Let me explain a bit more.  We have an imx6 design which can boot from either eMMC or from a microSD card (there is a switch to choose which to boot from).  I would like to add another bootloader which runs first - this one will be in the imx6 on board flash.  This pre-bootloader will look at the image on the eMMC and the image on the microSD and decide which one to boot from.  Currently my u-boot image is about 320kb so I am not sure if I can strip it down to less than 96k to fit into the imx flash. 

On the old LTIB system there was a smaller bootloader called Redboot for this purpose, but I don't think it's there in the Yocto system. 

Any advice appreciated!

  i.MX6 boot ROM is mask programmed - it cannot be changed by customers.
