software update via USB in U-boot

how do software update  using USB  from U-BOOT? please provide doc and reference if any?

Which version of BSP are you using? Do you mean update the kernel and rootfs?

I am using imx6sx-sabresd board,yocto dunfell branch and 4.19 linux  stable version

You can try to use to boot up from NFS Yocto NFS & TFTP boot  https://community.nxp.com/docs/DOC-340583
