board : i.MX6qp sabresd

I want to open mmc device node(/dev/mmc/mmcblk*p*) using the sys_open() as soon as kernel starts.

It can be read after init process is executed. (view below log, red is fail, blue is success)

Is there a patch? or ask for advice.

What's your intention?

You can access it through block IO after the SD/MMC driver is registered.

You can access it through VFS after it is mounted.

Hi, JayTu.

My intention is to read the partition as soon as the kernel starts.

I want to read the boot logo image on a specific partition immediately after booting,

and want to display on the screen.

You should do that in u-boot.

u-boot display was the first time I tried it.

However, there is a problem(https://community.nxp.com/docs/DOC-98109).

Therefore, tried as a second solution.

He is on the same team with me, you can describe your problem. And the patch is to keep logo show to kernel by using the same framebuffer address as I know. If you just want to show the logo, NXP android default release supports the function already. Check android user guide for more information.

but, there was a problem with IPU timeout, it could not be applied. (question has already been done, no answer)

I want...

1) u-boot display splash -> 2) no blink display -> 3) kernel (keep u-boot display splash) -> 4) no blink display -> 5)android animation time (keep u-boot display splash) -> 6) android launcher.

It seems to be difficult only by "android user guide".

currently, 

1) u-boot (load display splash from a partition to frame buffer) -> 2) kernel display image from frame buffer -> 3) no blink display -> 4) android animation time (keep display splash) -> android launcher.

1), 2) worked.

trying to eliminate display blink sections( 3) no blink display).
