ptp4l in linux

Hi ,

I am using MCIMX6DLAICPU2 to develop Ethernet AVB . Can I use ptp4l instead of gptp as both are ptp daemons ?

I ran the ptp4l command as :

ptp4l -P -A -4 -H -m -i eth0

and I was getting Pdelay responses as well as BMCA was working fine. I just want to know how this ptp4l daemon is different from gptp and If I can go with that or not . Please let me know if I need to implement something in source code of

ptp4l to make to as gptp to it's best.
