Hello,
I would please like to ask a question about mfg tool.
I've read the documentation of mfg tool, and would please like to know:
1. According to documentation it requires that we dedicated u-boot & kernel for mfg tool, are these binaries should be programmed to the same storage device as the "updater" u-boot/kernel ?
2. When we update u-boot/kernel (updater), does it override the u-boot/kernel for mfg/tool ? If yes - why can't we use the u-boot/kernel for mfg tool, as operational firmware u-boot/kernel ? (in such way we don't need the updater)
Best Regards,
Ran

Hi Ran
files which uses mfg tools (it is its own image) are located in
..OS Firmware/firmware folder, files which will be programmed
to media (programmed to some storage device) - in ..OS Firmware/files
folder, also it is useful to check documents in /Document folder. Default
u-boot/kernel for mfg/tool is built for nxp reference boards, for custom board it
should be rebuilt, if custom board is identical to reference board, it may work
without rebuilding firmware files.
Best regards
igor
