imxvideoconvert_ipu Gstreamer plugin

Dear all,

I am using Variscite's DART-MX8M-MINI platform, running Yocto Sumo (i.e. sumo-fsl-4.14.98-mx8mm-v2.2)

I would like to test some features that combines a prosperity algorithm with gstreamer elements.

For that matter i would like to use the "imxvideoconvert_ipu" plugin. 

Unfortunately the "imxvideoconvert_ipu"  cannot be found (only imxvideoconvert_g2d was found).

Please advise which imx-gstreamer repository and brach should i use in order to be able using the imxvideoconvert_ipu

Hello Nissim,

The i.MX8 does not have IPU that the reason you can find the imxvideoconverter_ipu, this is for the i.MX6, you need to use imxvideoconverter_g2d.

Thanks, for your quick response.

The "i.MX Linux® Release Notes, Rev. L4.19.35_1.1.0, 11/2019" document doesn't mention that its only for I.MX6.

Let me suggest to update the document.
