imx6ul software boot from eMMC

Hi,

In our initial design, we had sd card interface for the software to boot. Now we are planning to use eMMC instead of SD card. 

With respect to software, both SD card and eMMC are similar? If different what are the software changes(dts etc..) required to use eMMC?

How to program the eMMC initially? In case of SD card we use PC to program the SD card using SD card reader.

Yes, you can design with emmc, you can use the mfgtool to download the images to emmc. In your disign you need do some software modify and ucl2.xml you also need to modfiy.
