imx6 display rotation

We are using kernel 4.10.17 and etnaviv driver for gpu acceleration in Weston/Wayland desktop. How can I rotate display 90 degrees and still use etnaviv drm?

As far as i know you can´t rotate, however this approach is soon because you are using a very recent kernel.

Does anyone know is there any possibility to rotate display with 4.xx series kernel? In IMX6 processors there is Vivante GPU which handles rotation but nobody can tell how the rotation is configured?
Display rotation is common in embedded devices and that hardware supports it somehow.
