imx53 quickstart not booting

Hello,

I have a problem with both the imx53 quickstart and my custom version of the quickstart design booting.

Sometimes the quickstart doesn't boot.  after a couple of power cycles I see data at the console.

Voltages seem to power on at the proper times using the DA9053.  Since the quickstart exhibits this booting problem and I have over 50 quickstart boards that do this, has anybody else had this problem?

I had used the u-boot.2012.4 and the u-boot.2011.12 and both runs fine without patches on the DA9053 based board.
I think you have to apply the patches, but I' m not sure as I have never tested u-boot-2009.08 on the non-R board.
Maybe using a more recent u-boot you can solve your problem, but consider you will loose the splash screen ( well, I've never been able to use the splash on more recent u-boot versions) , and this is why I came back to u-boot.2009.08.

That was the problem.  the software group found a patch and the problem went away!
