iMX6UL Video with OSD Overlay

I am using an iMX6UL with Gstreamer and want to add and OSD (bitmap) on top of live video, 

My current pipeline is gst-launch-1.0 -v imxv4l2src device=/dev/video1 ! videobox border-alpha=0.5 fill=1 top=-20 bottom=-20 left=-20 right=-20 ! imxvideoconvert_pxp rotation=horizontal-flip ! imxv4l2sink

Is there any example how to add a bitmap overlay ?

The i.MX6UL processor does not have the graphics acceleration in hardware, so, no overlaying is supported on it.
