i.mx 8M Mini: How to power NVCC_SD2 when not using SD2 interface?

Hello,

I'm using an i.mx 8M Mini in an application where the SD card interface isn't needed. When I was using this interface previously I had the power pin NVCC_SD2 connected up to a voltage rail that could switch between 1.8V and 3.3V.

According to the Hardware Design Guide, NVCC_SD2 should remain powered even if the interface isn't being used. But since the interface isn't being used and doesn't need to switch between 1.8V and 3.3V, is it acceptable to just power NVCC_SD2 with a standard 1.8V or 3.3V rail? Timing-wise, the rail should just power on and off with all the other NVCC_1V8 and NVCC_3V3 GPIO rails, right?

yes one can power NVCC_SD2 with just 1.8V. 1.8V or 3.3V does not matter.

Hi Igor,

Can I power NVCC_SD2 with just 1.8V? Does it matter if I choose 1.8V or 3.3V?

Thanks
