Hello, community

The i.MX8QXP has TWO USB OTG ports.

According to the IMX8QXP DataSheet (Rev.0),

VBUS (OTG2) -0.33.63V : (VBUS level is limited to 3.3V)

VBUS (OTG1) -0.35.5V : (VBUS level is limited to 5V)

But  p100, Table 101 (USB 2.0 PHY OTG comparator specifications) list only one type of  vbusvalid.

That is , min 4.4V to max 4.75V. It looks like vbusvalid in OTG 1.

Please let me know What about vbusvalid in OTG 2?

Best Regards,

kanou

Hello,

Both i.MX8 USB_OTGx_VBUS pins are voltage detector only, not for the PHY

power supply, therefore customers can apply a resister divider or a converter

from 5V to 3.3V for the OTG2, assuming VBUS Valid threshold is changed

proportionally.

 Have a great day,

Yuri

Yuri-san,

I think that vbusvalid is the voltage related USB PHY.

Therefore, I thought that it was 4.4V - 4.75V.

What is vbusvalid?

Hello,

We cannot apply voltages higher, than 3.3 V to the OTG2_VBUS.

Yuri.

Hi, Yuri,

Thanks for your reply.

It mean, OTG2 VBUS Valid Threshold is same as OTG1 value, right?

i.e. 4.4V ~ 4.75V
