i.MX6Sololite EVK Board Cannot Install Apps

Hello All,

The Android 4.0.4 image that comes packaged with the EVK board can install APK files from the internet as long as I enable "unknown sources" under security settings and "usb debugging" under developer options.

I built a version of Android 4.0.4 loosely following the instructions in file 13.5.0_Android_User_Guide from IMX6_R13.5_ANDROID_DOCS_BUNDLE. The built Android seems to work; however, whenever I try to install a downloaded APK file it fails with on-screen message "Application not installed". No serial output is generated when the application fails to install.

Can anyone help me debug and fix this issue?

Is it possible that the system would generate an error when it failed to install the app? If so, where would I look to see this error?

Are you using ADB to install the APK?
