i.MX6DQ UART RX FIFO Overrun

Our customer have a question about i.MX6DQ UART.

They faced UART RX FIFO overrun problem with the following log when data receiving from GPS on Android L5.1.1_2.1.0-ga.

[  102.685334] imx-uart 21ec000.serial: Rx FIFO overrun

And they resolved by backport UART driver from 3.18.26 similar as the solution written in iMX6Quad uart RX Fifo Overrun..

However, a new problem was occurred by this backporting.

Sometimes connection to bluetooth module will be failed with 3Mbps baud rate even though this problem was not occurred with 3.14.52 UART driver.

So they want to resolve the UART RX FIFO overrun problem without backporting.

Do you have any idea to modify the L3.14.52 UART driver?
