We have run dual-display wayland (LVDS + HDMI) on an i.MX6q SabreSD with a GC2000.

Could that setup be run on an i.MX6 solo with a GC880?

Will we be able to run egl applications on both displays?

supported only GC2000 and GC320 as described in attached document

sect.15.5.1 Multi display support..

Ok, as the i.MX6 solo has a GC320 we will be able to use dual display, egl accelerated wayland on a i.MX6 solo based system?
