i.MX51 Image Rotator performance

Hello Champs,

In the i.MX51 RM, there is this description,

I'm using a LCD with 1024x768@60Hz, the pixel clock is 65MHz.

Simply, 1024x768x60 = 47MHz pixels/sec, which is within the spec 50 M pixels/sec.

Isn't there bit per pixel specification?

Can I use Image Rotator for 1024x768@60Hz?

data is provided for YUV/RGB format, 8 bits/value

as described in sect.42.1.3.3.2 Image Rotator (IRT),

sorry there is no bit per pixel specification.

in theory yes, in practice performance may be affected by available

memory bandwidth (depending on application) as IRT uses

input/output from/to system memory.
