for different cores.Say i want to load and boot image for Cortex-M4 from NOR

and Cortex-A35 from NAND?

Hi Nishanth

please look on

Boot The i.mx6 dual With Linux+uC/OS-II AMP

i.MX6DQ/SDL boot always from primary core.

For i.MX7 image for Cortex-M4 should be loaded by Cortex-A7,

NXP BSPs on link below support FreeRTOS running on M4 core:

Thanks Igor.

Iam working on the IMX8 DQ and the datasheet mentions it can supports Multi-image boot (System Controller firmware, Cortex-M4 image, and Cortex-A35 image). My understanding was these cores can boot parallel.

Sorry for not being specific.

Hi Nishanth

I am not aware of "IMX8 DQ" parts. Currently publicly released and supported only i.MX8M family:
i.MX 8M Applications Processor | Arm Cortex-A53, Cortex-M4|NXP
Other i.MX8 families are not officially released yet and not supported, sorry.

Best regards
igor
