I am populating the SDK of the Yocto Hardknott BSP LF5.10.72-2.2.3 on Ubuntu-20.04 machine and got following error :

Use viper-imx8mp instead of viper_imx8mp.
package name use only lowercase alphanums or '-+.'

Firstly, Have you modified or added that some packages or some lines which then unmet the requirement as the error shown?

The other suggestion would be to run clean sstate and rebuild again.

I only added the BSP of the custom board under <imx-yocto-bsp>/sources/meta-company which is compiled well with bitbake imx-image-full.
