cannot access the text menu of the recovery system on an i.mx6q-based device

hello everyone,

Without using the "home" or "menu" buttons of the device or the "F1" key of a USB keyboard, is there another way to access the text menu of the android stock recovery system?

The reason why I asked, is that I think our device has no physical buttons for "home" or "menu" and we do not want to let the user use a USB keyboard just to access the text menu of the recovery system.
