Wayland GPU memory leak when opening and closing windows

We are seeing GPU memory being leaked (seen with gmem_info) when a Wayland client process opens and closes multiple windows.  We are running kernel 3.10.53 and GPU software 5.0.11.p4.4 on an i.MX6Q processor.  How can we resolve this problem?  I see the release notes for BSPs which include 5.0.11.p4.5 seem to indicate this problem is fixed there ("MGS-528 [#ccc] Wayland does not free window memory until the application exits").  Can we use 5.0.11.p4.5 with a 3.10.53 kernel to fix the memory leak, while maintaining stability?  And will there be a patch release of a 3.10.53 based BSP which includes updated GPU software?

Hi Stephen,

There are no available information about plans to release a patch for L3.10.53. So, the general recommendation could be using L3.14.28 to apply the currently available patch.

Unfortunately, not additional tests of the patch over L3.10.53 are available, so you could try, but considering the update changes from L3.10.53 to L3.14.28.

Hope this will be useful for you.
Best regards!
/Carlos
