Hi,
I am trying to check out the yocto recipes for the Variscite platform
I am getting this error message when I try to do a repo init on the git URL
$ repo init -u git://git.freescale.com/imx/linux-2.6-imx.git -b imx-4.1.15-1.0.0_ga
fatal: unable to connect to git.freescale.com:
git.freescale.com[0: 192.88.156.202]: errno=Connection refused
fatal: unable to connect to git.freescale.com:
git.freescale.com[0: 192.88.156.202]: errno=Connection refused
fatal: cannot obtain manifest git://git.freescale.com/imx/linux-2.6-imx.git
The IP address 192.88.156.202 is not reachable. But I am able to open the Git HUB page using the browser
git://git.freescale.com/imx/fsl-arm-yocto-bsp.git
Thanks !

am struck here...
It should be network (possibly firewall) issue.
Please note that git default port is 9418.
I mean when you access git.freescale.com with browser it goes to port 80 but repo goes to port 9418.
Have a great day,
Victor

Hi,
The issue appears to have been fixed now.
I am able to do a repo init and sync successfully.
$ repo init -u git://git.freescale.com/imx/fsl-arm-yocto-bsp.git -b imx-4.1.15-1.0.0_ga
$ repo sync
Please mark this issue as fixed.
Thanks,
Prashanth
I too have the same issue... struck exact at this point.
