The NXP IMX6Q chip is used, and the Linux system is Ubuntu16.0.4. The system is mounted with a pcie device, and the watchdog times out to restart the Linux system. There is a problem during the restart process, and it stops at "1ffc000.pcie supply pcie-bus not found, using dummy regulator", not sure if it stopped because of this message. However, rebooting the system can be done using the reboot command or by pressing the reset key on the device. See the attachment for the messages of the three restart methods.

@lixoyv
Hello,

   It is highly recommended to remove power from all board
components in case of processor reset in order to avoid issues
with undefined state of components critical for reboot.

  So, total system POR may be recommended for reboot (via WDOG).
Please verify Your design if this is so. Use the reference design as
an example.

Regards,
Yuri.

The watchdog only resets the cpu. Is there a way to solve this problem without changing the hardware design?

If only CPU is reset - the results may be un-predictable.
