Suggest Dual Camera Solution

Hi iMX Champ !

A customer is looking for an MCU/MPU solution that can accept 2 or more channels of fisheye multi-camera (parallel or mipi csi) input and apply functions such as dewarping, crop, resize, rotate, etc.
They will be using automotive grade parts and are looking for chipsets from the iMX RT117x, iMX8X, and i.MX8 series that can meet their requirements.

I've looked through the datasheets and RMs on nxp.com, but I can't find any devices that support dewarping HW-wise, so if you have any recommendations for us to try, please let me know.

If certain features can't be handled HW, it would be nice to see how they can be partially implemented in SW. i.e. opencv, opencl, pxp

For your application I can recommend the iMX8 or the iMX95.

If you want to run Machine Learning Models you should use the iMX95 due to the iMX95 has an NPU to accelerate the ML models.

Please check the specs of the i.MX95 Processor.
