Dear Experts,

We have SRKH register key values setup for i.MX6. Now we are migrating from i.MX6 to i.MX8, so can we use the same values that we use for the i.MX6?

Regards,

Yunus

Hi Sanket,

Thanks for response.

May I know the reason why we cannot use the same SRKH key value for i.MX8? Is there any SoC specific reason? Please provide some more info.

Hi @jbhaijy

I hope you are doing well.

As both the boards have many architecture wise differences and NXP can not recommend with the same efuses as it is one time programmable.
One can refer to the section . 1.7 Programming SRK Hash of document root/doc/imx/habv4/guides/mx8m_mx8mm_secure_boot.txt

"Be careful when programming these values, as this data is the basis for the root of trust. An error in SRK Hash results in a part that does not boot."

Thanks & Regards
