Hi all,

Following i.MX6q SABRE Board for Smart Devices - Linux on ARM - eewiki guide. I have successfully installed ubuntu 14.04 into my Freescale SABRESD demo board. Everything is running, but I don't see the on-board eMMC device in my /dev/mmcblk* list and `lsblk` didn't show either, only storage device I can see is my SD card. Can someone tell me how to access the EMMC device?

Thanks!

Hi yuling

I did not try eewiki, but on Freescale BSP releases

eMMC is "mmcblk0" - actually what is mentioned on eewiki.

You can try with Freescale kernel below and check

L3.10.17_1.0.0_IMX6QDLS_BUNDLE

L3.10.17_1.0.0_LINUX_DOCS

Best regards

This is resolved by using official kernel L3.10.17_1.0.0_IMX6QDLS_BUNDLE

Hi Yiling,

I am trying to install ubuntu 14.04 to emmc about imx6q sabresd board..follow the i.MX6q SABRE Board for Smart Devices - Linux on ARM - eewiki .

How can you tell me how you are install?

There was another thread that was vaguely similar in which the Block Devices were not enabled and this was causing the eMMC not to be recognized. It might be of help:

Thanks for your reply, I will give a try, so if successful, what I am expected to see is that, I will have both /dev/mmcblk0* and /dev/mmcblk1* ? Thanks!
