Hello Gents,

I am trying to download the pre-build Android R10.4 posted on Freescale's site using TFTP and NFS root. All starts well, except that Android hangs while booting on access to the Audio Codec:

Itried previous versions of the pre-build Android (R10.3, R10.3_1 etc.) with the same result.

The tablet boots fine with the image stored in internal eMMC.

Has anyone an explanation ?

Hello,Pierre,

your operations are correct !  Can you try this command in ubuntu ?

# sudo chmod -R 777 /opt/nfsroot

I have tested the above command and tried to boot from NFS, it was OK !

Hello,Pierre,

The issue should be generated by NFS system in your nfsroot on ubuntu Host. We can try it like this :

enter into our nfsroot directory , and delete all files, then re-decompress NFS tar ball which was released by freescale , it is included R10.4 DEMO IMAGE.

Then boot your mx53 smd board via NFS. check if it is normal.

regards,

Weidong

Hello Sun,

I did download the complete imx-android-r10.4_bundle_BSP.tar.gz file from the Freescale site, I then decompressed the imx-android-r10.4_bundle_BSP/image_imx-android-r10.4_53smd/NFS/android_fs into /opt/nfsroot, and got the result posted.

What did I do wrong ? Can you be more specific ?

Regards.
