Hi @nxp ,

We have successfully built the Yocto image for the i.MX8QuadXPlus MEK processor kit. Currently, we are working on enabling the PCIe driver to support a connected Wi-Fi module with the Intel AX211NGW chipset.

Could you kindly assist us with the following:

  1. Detailed steps to enable the PCIe driver in the Yocto image through kernel configuration.
  2. Any specific kernel configuration options or patches required to support the Intel AX211NGW Wi-Fi module.
  3. Additional dependencies or firmware requirements, if any, to ensure compatibility with the PCIe interface for this Wi-Fi chipset.

Your guidance will greatly help us achieve our project objectives.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Thanks,

Subbu

Hello,

A1. you can check the linux reference manual for general PCIe support and how to make it run:

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/reference-manual/IMX_REFERENCE_MANUAL.pdf

A2. That device is not supported and we have not the configuration at hand but you can ask the manufacturer how it enable.

A3. All the dependency are on yocto BSP and if you installed you don't need anything, if your wifi requieres more please check with your vendor.

Regards
