Hello,
For the RT1170 series.
Some models don’t support MIPI interface like model RT1171. I checked the data sheet and used the configuration tool and the pinout is identical with models that support MIPI like RT1172.
Are the pinout the same but the functionality of MIPI simply doesn’t exist or I am missing something here?
I started a design using the RT1171 model but I will go RT1172 since I am using MIPI what do I have to consider here?
Thank you,
Tarek
Hi,
Please refer RT1170 datasheet file, the Table 1. Ordering information provided related info:
Wish it helps.

Hello,
Yes, but it doesn't show what replaces the MIPI in models that doesn't support it.
The pin description is same for all models on the datasheet, how this will change or it will be used as GPIOs ?
Thanks,
Tarek
Hi,
If customer check RT1170 reference manual, which shows MIPI pins most are not muxing with GPIO function:
I would recommend refer RT1170 hardware design guide to handle those MIPI pins of RT1170 chip without MIPI function/modules.
Wish it helps.
Mike
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
Models without MIPI will have the same pin layout.
From the hardware guide MIPI pins should be left unconnected since MIPI is not supported.
So, all the models are pin compatible.

Hi,
I will continue support when I back from the public holiday later this week(May 5th).
Thank you for the patience.
