Hello,

We designed a customer's solution based on i.MX8M processor and using the PCA9450 as the PMIC.

Our questions is:

Are the PCA9450's registers volatile after power cycling the board or do they keep their last modified values?

Thanks for your help!

Hi saidjazouly

not sorry, in general case registers value are not preserved. Datasheet can be found on link

Hi Igor,

our customer is wondering if there is a way to preserve the register values through power-cycles. The reason being at board power-up, the new PMIC settings should take effect even before the i.MX8 has a chance to access in read/write the PMIC registers.

Is there anyway to preserve those registers new values and to only change them when the i.MX decides to do so?

Thanks for your help.

default register values are hardcoded so I am afraid it is not feasible, sorry.
